Deep Creek NC Great Smoky Mountains National Park is an absolute treasure. Joan, I, the kids and grand kids visited for a week to enjoy the great tubing, trails and nature. Tubing is the main summer draw and I now understand why. We had a great two days of tubing from a number of different site to enter the creek. Gentle rapids and fun areas just to float were enjoyed by the whole crew. We also took in a number of the trails to several waterfalls enjoying the scenery and taking a ton of pictures. The park offers a campground, but short, primitive sites only with no water, electric, but bathroom facilities and a dump station is provided. We loved this area with so much to see and do.
